We are here to create a memorable and enriching summer for every child!
Children who require additional /1:1 supports (physical, behavioural, etc.):
BGC South East will be limiting support services for children who require 1:1 support to a maximum of 2 weeks of camp, allowing us to serve/give equal opportunity to the most number of children possible that require support this summer.
If your child requires 1:1 support in a camp setting, Parents/Guardians are required to reach out to the Program Inclusion and Behavioural Support Team inclusion@bgcsoutheast.ca PRIOR to registering to inquire if there are support services available for your preferred location/week(s).
Parents/Guardians may be required to provide additional information/forms regarding your child’s needs to determine if they require 1:1 support services while in our programs.

Children who require additional /1:1 supports (physical, behavioural, etc.):
Children who require additional /1:1 supports (physical, behavioural, etc.):
BGC South East understands and recognizes the need for inclusive support services in their recreation and licensed summer camp programs.
Although we may be able to offer some support services for children who require 1:1 support, please note, we have a very limited capacity to support new children to our support roster this summer, depending on the week/ location required/requested.
One-to-One (1:1) Support One-to-one support will be considered and assigned (resources permitting) to children/youth who require one-to-one support in order to attend and be successful in the program. Such children have intensive or frequent needs in one or more domains (self care/toileting, safety and supervision, physical aggression, high medical needs, intensive communication support) |
**Parents/Guardians who do not inquire prior to registering, can not assume support will be available, and may have their registration canceled due to the unavailability of services**
Completing your registration to include Support Services
If it has been confirmed by the Program Inclusion and Behaviour Support Team that there is support available for your child for your requested weeks, when completing the registration process, please choose the “APPLYING FOR INCLUSION” fee type, and select the Inclusion 1:1 Support add on. (Note, if you are also applying for subsidy, please choose the “APPLYING FOR SUBSIDY + INCLUSION” option)
This will not generate a fee to be paid at the time of checkout, as we will complete a final confirmation with Parents/Guardians (after the registration is complete) that support services are available for the chosen week/location before we will require payment. Upon confirmation, the Inclusion Team will adjust/add the required camp fee to your invoice. The deposit fee ($50.00 per week) will be due immediately, with remaining fees due on May 31st. All fees must be paid according to this schedule to hold your space in the camp otherwise the spaces will be released.
If we are unable to support your child due to:
- support services for each week/location being full
- Parent/Guardian did not choose the appropriate accommodation /details upon checkout, therefore not indicating to our staff team support was required, OR
- The Parent/Guardian were not clear about their child’s needs
We will contact Parents/Guardians and inform you that support is not available and will proceed to cancel your child’s registration in the program.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work hard to ensure our programs are inclusive and accessible.
Child Care Fee Assistance Programs (Subsidy):
Child Care Fee Assistance Programs (Subsidy)
If you are planning on applying for BGC Child Care Fee Assistance Programs through the City of Kingston Child Care Subsidy Program or PELASS, please ensure you have registered for all weeks of camp required, choosing “APPLYING FOR SUBSIDY” option at checkout. (Note, if you are also applying for inclusion support, please choose the “APPLYING FOR SUBSIDY + INCLUSION” option)
Once the registration has been completed, please reach out to your site specific contact (contact information listed below) and request the paperwork and application. Confirmation of Space forms will be sent to the City of Kingston or PELASS (depending on your mailing address, not the camp location) during the first week of May. If subsidy is not approved, you will have the option to immediately pay the $50 non-refundable deposit per week and the remainder by due dates or completely withdraw.
The location of your subsidy application will be dependent on your mailing address, not where the camp is being offered.
EXAMPLE: If you live within the City of Kingston, but your child(ren) will be attending camp in Loyalist Township, your subsidy application will be submitted to the City of Kingston.
If you reside in Loyalist Township, but your child(ren) will be attending summer camp at a location within the City of Kingston, your subsidy application will be submitted to PELASS (Prince Edward Lennox Addington Social Services)

- Kingston & Frontenac boundaries, OR
- Prince Edward County or the County of Lennox and Addington
- Each parent/guardian is either employed, or enrolled in an educational or training program
- Each parent/guardian has filed their income taxes for the most recent tax year
- If you or your child has a documented special need, and have been referred by a professional, you may also be eligible

***If you reside in Prince Edward County or the County of Lennox and Addington, and you are applying for subsidy, Parents/Guardians/Caregivers must ALSO complete an application through the PELASS office in addition to the paperwork that BGC will submit on your behalf.
